As a stand alone experience, the single workshop is a rewarding and insightful art experience and for many a transforming one.

But for someone interested in an even more in depth experience, Our Art Retreats provide a private, individual or small group workshop comprising 2 to 4 four-hour sessions over consecutive days or over several weekends.

This provides the opportunity to explore your creative direction, to plan and execute a specific project, refine your current practice or to push your artistic development by experimenting with different media or styles. But most importantly enjoy yourself and your art.

All workshops start with relaxation and focusing exercises using movement and charcoal drawing as a starting point.

However, the media or themes covered, depends on what best meets each person's needs.We offer the opportunity to engage with both the ideas and the techniques or art-making.

The Arthouse has well equipped professional artist studio, pleasant patio and verandah areas with a backdrop of rural lands and the Mt Royal Ranges.

The Inn's grounds occupy an acre and there is ample opportunity for outdoor as well as studio art-making.

We have an extensive array of traditional artist's media, opportunities to explore instillation art as well as facilities for digital photography and image manipulation.

Current and past students range from people completely new to the arts,to recreational painters through to professional practicing artists and those undertaking post-graduate and doctoral studies in Fine Arts.

We can design an engaging and appropriately challenging programmer for all levels of experience.

Cost:
A four-hour private one-on-one session: $260-00.
A four-hour private session for 2 or 3: $135-00 per person
A four-hour private session for 4: $125-00 per person.

There is a 25% to 30% discount on prices for more than one session.

We provide quality coffee, teas and infusions along with an excellent country-style morning or afternoon tea for refreshments.

We are located only ten minutes from the heart of Pokolbin (and a few minutes from the nearest winery). We are conveniently central to all the accommodation venues throughout the Lower Hunter.

Affordable, high quality accommodation is available a few doors from us at the 'Branxton Hotel B&B'.(www.branxtonhotel.com.au). It is newly renovated and Penny, the owner, is very welcoming. They offer special "Art-stay" packages.
