One person's experience....

After floundering away at my own art practise, I knew I needed help.   

After exploring TAFE and University options, I googled 'art classes hunter valley' and came up with Stephen James and the Hunter Valley Arthouse.  

After one workshop I was hooked, and asked Stephen James to take me on as a private student. My work has since flourished and I haven't looked back.

Having worked in community arts developement for six years in regional South Australia, I have hired many artists to run workshops for local groups, festivals and events and I must say Stephen would be at the top of my list if I wanted a visual arts tutor.   

He brings with him unique teaching methods that are inclusive, encouraging and supportive.This is not your traditional art class... This is something quite different that that helps break down those inhibitions and barriers.

Anyone of any level will find it enjoyable and accessible in a friendly atmosphere.With his teaching methods, nearly anyone can discover their latent creative side.
